Description
Super Store Finder – Multi Categories Add-on: Give Every Store More Than One Category
Many real businesses do not fit into a single box. A shop can be a bakery, a cafe and a delivery service at the same time, and a directory that forces it into just one category will always hide it from some of the people looking for it. This add-on removes that limitation for Super Store Finder, letting administrators tag each store with several categories so visitors can discover it through every relevant search.
Built for the PHP, JavaScript and MySQL store-locator application Super Store Finder, the extension works inside the familiar admin area and the existing Google Maps-powered front end. It does not replace the main application: it extends it, so your locations, map, directions and street-view features keep working exactly as before, while category handling becomes far more flexible.
What This Add-on Does
Once installed, the store editor offers a multi-select category control instead of a single choice. An administrator can tick all the categories that apply to a store, save once, and the new assignments appear for visitors without a page reload. Search results then reflect the fuller picture, so a store shows up whether a visitor filters by its product range, its service type, its location style or its brand group.
Key Features
- Assign multiple categories to each store in Super Store Finder, rather than only one.
- Pick categories through a Bootstrap multi-select control that is quick and easy to use in the admin panel.
- See category changes update in real time, with no page refresh needed after a selection.
- Keep the full Super Store Finder experience, including Google Maps, geolocation, directions and Street View.
- Use the included user guide for a clear, step-by-step installation and setup.
- Work with both the standard version and the responsive version of Super Store Finder.
Installation Notes
This is an add-on, not a standalone store locator. You need a working Super Store Finder installation first. Setup involves widening the category field in the stores table to hold several values, then replacing the matching files from the standard package or the responsive package, depending on which version you run. After that, sign in to the Super Store Finder admin panel, edit a store, choose several categories, save, and check the change on the front-end search.
Ideal For
- Retail chains that want stores grouped by product category, location or brand.
- Franchise businesses that need the same category logic across many outlets.
- Service providers and directories that group listings by the kind of service offered.
- Website owners who run Super Store Finder and want visitors to find the right store faster.
Why Choose Multi Categories?
A store locator is only useful when it matches how visitors actually search. When a single store can appear under each of its real categories, fewer listings are missed, results feel more complete, and visitors spend less time hunting for a business that was there all along. For any Super Store Finder site with varied stores, that small change makes the whole directory noticeably easier to use.
