Description
PayPal Payment Gateway Plugin For Acelle — Accept PayPal Payments in Acelle Mail
PayPal Payment Gateway Plugin For Acelle adds a trusted, globally recognised checkout option to your Acelle Mail installation. It lets customers pay with PayPal or, for one-off purchases, with a debit or credit card as a guest — without needing a PayPal account. With support for 200+ countries and 25+ currencies, it is a practical choice for email marketers, SaaS operators and agencies selling plans, credits and subscriptions through Acelle.
Two Payment Gateways in One Plugin
This plugin ships as two gateways under one installation. The PayPal gateway handles one-off charges through PayPal Orders v2, while the PayPal Subscription gateway handles recurring billing through PayPal Subscriptions v1. You can enable one gateway or both, and run Sandbox and Live rows side by side.
- One-off payments: Customers approve a single order and pay with PayPal or a guest card payment.
- Recurring payments: Customers approve once at PayPal, and PayPal manages each renewal automatically.
- Simple setup: Paste your PayPal Client ID and Secret, choose the environment, save, and sell.
Why Choose PayPal for Acelle?
PayPal is instantly recognised by buyers around the world, which can reduce checkout abandonment compared with unfamiliar card forms. PayPal also handles the country, language and payment-method mix for you, and exposes Pay Later options such as PayPal Credit in supported markets at no extra integration work.
No Webhook Setup Required
Unlike many payment integrations, this plugin uses pull-only sync. One-off payments are captured inline when the customer returns from PayPal, and subscription renewals and cancellations are detected by polling PayPal through Acelle’s existing scheduler. There is no public webhook endpoint to expose, no IPN URL to configure and no signature verification to maintain.
Modern PayPal REST API Integration
The plugin uses PayPal’s modern REST APIs only — OAuth 2.0 authentication with Client ID and Secret, Orders v2 for one-off payments and Billing Subscriptions v1 for recurring payments. It avoids legacy IPN and Express Checkout approaches, making configuration cleaner for new PayPal Business accounts.
