Easy Password Protection

Description

Protect Any Page With a Simple Password Gate

Easy Password Protection is a lightweight PHP script that puts a password form in front of a page, so only visitors who know the password can see what lies behind it. There is no database to set up and no complicated installation: the whole library sits in a single file, and adding protection can take just one line of code at the top of a PHP page.

Why It Is So Easy to Use

The script is made for site owners and developers who want quick, reliable page protection without building a full login system. Copy the files to your server, set your password, and add the snippet to the pages you want to guard. It runs on PHP 4 or higher, works in most standard server environments, and uses Bootstrap and jQuery for a clean, modern login screen.

Good For Many Kinds of Private Content

Use it for member-only areas, private documents, draft or preview pages, trial content, and any section that should stay out of public view. You can also use different passwords, control access by IP address, and limit how long a session stays open, giving you flexible control without extra complexity.

Customise the Look and Feel

Choose from eight pre-designed skins, adjust the form fields, and add your own branding so the password screen feels like part of your website rather than an add-on. The responsive layout keeps the experience smooth on phones, tablets and desktops alike.
