Description
Build Your Defense, Block by Block
Block Siege turns tower defense on its head. Instead of dropping ready-made towers onto fixed spots, you build your own fortifications from real physics blocks. Every piece has mass, friction and collision, so a careless wall can topple, falling debris can crush attackers, and a well-planned barrier can hold back wave after wave. Strategy meets satisfying, unpredictable physics in this HTML5 game.
Defend Your Castle Against Growing Waves
Your castle is under siege. Enemies arrive in waves of rising difficulty, and you are the architect of its survival. Place wood, stone, metal, spikes and cannons in smart combinations, watch how they react to gravity and impact, and adapt your design as new enemy types appear. The result is a defense game where no two runs play out quite the same way.

- 10 campaign waves: progressive difficulty with boss encounters at waves 5 and 10
- Endless Survival Mode: face infinite waves and chase high scores
- 4 active abilities: Repair, Barrage, Gold Rush and Fortify for extra strategic depth
- Permanent upgrade shop: spend gold earned during runs to improve block durability and unlock abilities
- Fully reskinnable without touching game code, with 57 replaceable PNG sprites and 19 replaceable MP3 sound and music files
- Procedural fallback: missing sprites or audio fall back to procedural versions so gameplay stays smooth
- Built with vanilla JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas 2D and the Web Audio API, with no external server-side processing required
- Mobile responsive with touch controls optimized for phones and tablets
- Lightweight and fast-loading, running directly in any modern web browser supporting HTML5 Canvas 2D, Web Audio API and ES6
Easy to Customize and Reskin
Block Siege is made for creators who want to make it their own. Swap in your own art and audio without editing the game code, and the built-in procedural fallback keeps the game running even if a file is missing. That makes it a practical starting point for indie developers, as well as a flexible template for new physics-based projects.
Who Is It For?
This game suits indie game developers looking for a physics-based tower defense foundation, educators teaching game development, physics simulation and HTML5 coding, and anyone who enjoys building, breaking and rebuilding defenses in a fun, challenging HTML5 game.
Getting Started
Simply place the game files in your web server’s root directory and open the game in your web browser at the URL where the files are hosted. From there, start building, hold the line against the first waves, and unlock upgrades as your gold grows.
